Bird and Wildlife Sightings
Churchville Nature Center sponsors many activities intended to document the presence of bird species and other forms of wildlife in our region. Two such endeavors, the PA Herpetological Atlas Project and Breeding Bird Atlas, are described below.
PA Herpetological Atlas Project

Breeding Bird Atlas: Monitoring Pennsylvania's Avian Biodiversity
Birding with a purpose. That’s the way Churchville Nature Center views the call to participate in the 2nd Pennsylvania Breeding Bird Atlas Project. This 5-year project, sponsored by the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, will seek to document all of the breeding birds that are in the state of Pennsylvania. More»
