Joyce
has been a Lenape educator at Churchville Nature Center for eight
years. She is a well-rounded educator that is qualified to teach
at any of the educational stations in the village. She was attracted
to working as a Lenape Village educator because of her interest
in Native American cultures, and feels that having knowledge of
the indigenous ways has value in today’s society.
Joyce enjoys making beautiful hand-made jewelry
and photography as hobbies. She has a B.S. in math from Ursinus
College in Collegeville, PA. Before leaving the corporate world,
she worked as a systems analyst.
When Joyce isn’t working down in the
Lenape Village, she teaches Tai Chi at various locations in Bucks
County and practices shiatsu. Next time you see her around the center, be sure
to say hello. The Churchville Nature Center is very fortunate to
have Joyce as part of our outstanding team of educators.
